The P2-UMT1664M supports up to 16 users and 64 servers. It utilizes Paragon II's superior KVM switch technology to provide high levels of accessibility, manageability, security and superior video quality to simplify management of business critical data centers, while dramatically reducing equipment costs and optimizing space utilization.
The P2-UMT1664M controls functions across the following modular intelligent components:
Stacking Unit (P2-UMT1664S): A cost-effective, space saving unit that easily expands port capacity up to 128 non-blocked ports with less cable than cascading. Stacking units reduce the clutter of multiple cables between tiers and save rack space and HVAC costs.
User station with integrated IP access (P2-USTIP1 & P2-USTIP2): Includes KVM over IP capability for anytime, anywhere access and control of servers along with a slim design and GUI for point-and-click remote access.
User Station (P2-UST): Includes an intuitive on-screen user interface for easy access to attached servers. Connects to USB, Sun and PS/2 computers.
Enhanced User Station (P2-EUST): Provides all P2-UST features PLUS superior video quality at greater distances with manual skewing. Supports video resolutions up to 1600x1200 at distances > 700 feet and 1280x1024 at distances up to 1000 feet, at refresh rates of 60/75/85 Hz. (P2-EUST & P2-UST can be used with the same Paragon II UMT switch.)
Computer Interface Modules (CIMs): Provide "keep-alive" keyboard/mouse emulation at the server. Just plug the CIM into the server's keyboard, monitor and mouse ports and connect it to Paragon II with a single Cat5 cable.
Paragon II ZCIM (P2ZCIM)
Allows connection for up to 42 mixed platform PS/2®, Sun®, and USB® interfaces on a single Cat5 cable chain, using only one channel port on your Paragon II unit. Enables extended distances of up to 1,000 feet from the main switching unit to the last P2ZCIM on the chain. More details
