iTechLCD’s 17 Inch Industrial 4:3 Aspect Ratio 5-Wire Resistive LED Backlit LCD Open Frame Touch Screen comes in two model types. The FOP1700-RTS-S has RS232 Serial touch screen open frame interface, the FOP1700-RTS-U has USB touch screen open frame interface. Both are perfect for industrial control panels or keypad use.

One might ask, why is the 17 inch open frame touch screen monitor so popular among industrial applications? The reason being is that the 17 inch monitor just became the standard size among most, if not all companies because it is an appropriate size for viewing and use.  Another often sought after question is if the 17 inch touch screen is durable enough to withstand an application?  With all industtrial grade components that make up the monitor, the unit is designed to handle both industrial and consumer applications.

With industrial grade 350 nit LCD panel mated to a high quality 5-wire resistive touch screen, the rugged open frame design is at home in industrial and commercial venues. Take solace in our open frame monitor enclosure design as it will never change even when a new generation of LCD panels is introduced. Once you design in the touch screen monitor, the open frame enclosure will remain consistent throughout the lifetime of the product.

The 17" LED LCD resistive touch screen open frame monitor has also been used in projects such as instrumentation panel displays, interactive kiosks and signage video walls. The sturdy steel housing is milled from a CNC machine and maintains high quality throughout the whole process.
