Introduction

The Intelligent Power Distribution Unit is a multifunctional, remote, AC PDU designed to direct and manage power to mission critical applications. Altusen's Intelligent Power Distribution Units are available in 20A, 30A and Dual Circuit configurations. The I-PDU has the ability to power-on or power-off any or all loads in any sequence over a wide range of time intervals. A circuit breaker at the AC input provides overall protection. The I-PDU is also capable of monitoring line voltage, total load current, as well as frequency. External temperature can be monitored with an optional temperature sensor. The IPDU also has the ability to ping any device connected to the network and then send an alert to any email address, pager/cell phone and alert via SNMP trap. The I-PDU is a proactive device that will help reduce downtime and response time providing immediate ROI. Operation/Control is accomplished either manually, using controls on the front panel of the unit, or remotely, using Telnet, a web browser, RS-232 or RS-485/422 communications.
