iTechLCD’s 15 inch high bright 5-wire resistive touch screen LED open Frame Monitor is great for outdoor applications and is considered a sunlight readable display, since it is bright enough to fight the elements of the outdoor sunlight.

Why does this industrial 15” touch screen monitor have 2 model types? There are 2 model types to differentiate the touch interfaces. The first model is the FOP1500HB-RTS-S, which has an RS232 serial touch interface and then there is the FOP1500HB-RTS-U, which has a USB touch interface. Both models are a 15 in high bright resistive touch LED open frame monitor.

What types of applications can The FOP1500HB-RTS-S(U) be used in? With the brightness of the screen display, this unit is generally designed for outdoor applications that require a 15 inch touch screen monitor, but can also be used indoors as well. Some examples would be an outdoor Kiosk, control panel, instrumentation display or industrial machine.

The FOP1500HB-RTS-S, 15” industrial touch screen monitor leaves a small footprint, so it is easy for designers and integrators to design the 15 inch display into any application that requires a touch screen. As true with all of iTechLCD’s open frame monitors, there will never be a design change throughout the lifetime of the monitor, so there are minimal worries when designing this unit into an enclosure.
