iTechLCD’s 17 Inch Industrial Resistive Touch High Bright LED Open Frame Monitor is a 4:3 aspect ratio monitor and is available in two model types. The first model is the FOP1700HB-RTS-S, which comes with an RS232 serial touch interface. The second model is the FOP1700HB-RTS-U, which comes with a USB touch interface. There are two types of touch interfaces available to accommodate the needs of different industrial applications.

How bright is the 17” touch screen monitor with the touch glass overlay? Typically, there is approximately a 20% reduction in brightness with a touch glass overlay, so even though the open frame monitor is rated at 1,500 nits brightness by itself, with a touch glass overlay, the brightness is then rated at about 1,200 nits brightness.

What type of resistive touch technology is used? A 5-Wire resistive touch technology is used because it is most accommodating for this type of monitor. It is most efficient and equipped to handle the project applications.

The FOP1700HB-RTS-S/U, 17 inch resistive touch high bright open frame monitor can be used in many various applications, including instrumentation panel displays, outdoor interactive Kiosks and digital signage displays. The housing of this monitor is milled with durable materials from a CNC machine, so there will always be consistency with every single industrial touch screen monitor.
