The Remote Interface Connection Cable (RICC) replaces the traditional coax cable connecting the server to the KVM switch.
RICC is a "dongle" that connects to the video, keyboard, and mouse ports of the server. Standard CAT 5 cable runs between the RICC's RJ45 jack to the back of the KVM switch, significantly reducing cable bulk in the rack. This CAT 5 connectivity technology allows the user to determine the desired length of the cable running from the server to the KVM switch, (up to 33 feet).
This particular part # is designated to work in tandem only with DX system, with limited distance and limited security features.
